The alarm blared loudly, pulling Y/N out of her sleep. With a groan, she reached out blindly and smacked the snooze button before realizing what time it was. Her eyes widened.

"Crap! I’m getting late!"

Throwing off the covers, she jumped out of bed, rushing through her morning routine. She barely brushed her hair before grabbing her bag and dashing downstairs.

Her parents were already at the dining table, her mom placing fresh toast on a plate.

“Morning, sweetheart,” her mom greeted warmly.

Her dad glanced up from his newspaper, giving her an approving nod. “Ready for your first day?”

“Yes—wait, no—ugh, I don’t have time for breakfast!” she said, grabbing an apple from the fruit basket.

“At least sit and eat properly—”

“I’M GETTING LATE!” she shouted, already halfway out the door.

Her mom sighed. “She’s just like you when you were young,” she mumbled to her husband.

Her dad smirked. “Except she’s got more energy.”

The University of Seoul was massive. It was grand, modern, and buzzing with students. But Y/N didn’t have time to admire it she was already struggling to find her first class.

She power walked through the halls, eyes flicking between the room numbers and her schedule. Just when she thought she was heading in the right direction

BAM!

She collided into someone, the impact sending her stumbling back. Her books tumbled to the floor.

A sharp silence filled the hallway.

Y/N blinked, looking up at the person she had crashed into.

A boy. Tall, broad-shouldered, dressed in all black. His dark eyes bore into hers with an intensity that sent chills down her spine. His jaw clenched, irritation flashing across his face.

The whispers started immediately.

"Oh no."

"She just did she really bump into him?"

"She’s dead. She’s so dead."

Y/N frowned. Why is everyone acting like I committed a crime?

She looked back at the guy, who hadn’t moved an inch. His gaze was sharp, unreadable.

Then, in a low, commanding voice, he spoke.

“Watch where you’re going.”

The weight of his tone made her stomach twist.

Before she could respond, another voice joined in.

“She really doesn’t know.”

Y/N turned her head to see another guy, just as intimidating. He was taller, wearing glasses, and his expression was cold yet amused.

That’s when she realized she wasn’t just facing him.

She was surrounded.

Seven guys stood there, their presence overwhelming. The entire hallway seemed to hold its breath.

"You must be new," Jimin said, tilting his head with an unreadable smirk.

“No wonder.” Yoongi’s voice was lazy, but his eyes were sharp.

She felt out of place. They think I’m beneath them.

"I don’t need a welcome party," she muttered, gripping her books.

A dangerous chuckle came from Taehyung. “Feisty.”

Jin sighed dramatically. “It’s always fun when they don’t know the rules.”

She hated the way they spoke about her like she wasn’t standing right there.

Hoseok leaned in slightly, his usual brightness nowhere to be seen. “You’re standing in the wrong place, new girl.”

Jungkook took a step forward, his presence suffocating. “Let’s get one thing straight.” His voice was dangerously low. “We own this university. People listen. They obey. And they don’t cross us.”

Her pulse quickened. Bullies. She had dealt with their kind before, but this was different.

Because here? They were kings. And no one dared to challenge them.

But she wasn’t like the others.

She lifted her chin. “Good for you,” she said evenly, gripping her books. “But I don’t follow orders.”

A sharp silence followed.

Then, a slow smirk crept across Jungkook’s face, something dark flickering in his eyes.

“Then we’ll have fun breaking you.”

And just like that, she realized she wasn’t just a transfer student anymore.

She was their new target.
